Design your own Tag
You will need:
Several sheets of white paper – A4 or A3 (Recycled or rough paper is useful for the initial sketching and planning)
Pencils and erasers
Coloured pencils or coloured marker pens (kokipens)
Look at some examples of lettering on graffiti walls. These are often difficult to decipher; but their qualities of design are more important than their legibility. (In other words, being instantly readable is not a priority; being a dynamic image, is!)
Design your own name. Make a number of sketches first, playing with the letters of your name (or code-name). When you like a particular arrangement of letters, refine these until you are completely happy with them.
Draw the final outlines carefully and precisely. Add colour, shading or blending; finally add shadows, highlights, or other features.
Display your designs creating a wall of tags in your classroom.
