The Wounded Earth
We know that much of what entails human progress results in an assault on our earth, especially in the 20th and 21st centuries – such as by mining companies without whom we would not have most of our technology, or by governments seeking more and more sources of the energy we all demand all the time. Of course we need sources of energy to live our lives, but all of these activities have caused different kinds of pollution and toxicity (poison) in the earth’s soil and its water; and have done long-lasting damage to agriculture, and to both rural and urban life.
